Organic Japanese Kabuse Powder (30g)

The Soshun, which means ‘early Spring’, comes from the early pre-harvest in April. This grassy, fresh and earthy pure green tea powder has a harmonious complex aroma, layered with subtle floral notes, nutty highlights and a full, long finish.

With a gentle and pleasant delicate sweetness, we recommend this to those who are embarking on drinking powdered teas for the first time. 

Recommended Preparation:

Add about 2 bamboo spoons (chashaku) of powder into a pre-heated tea bowl (chawan). Add about 70-100ml of water at 80-85°C into the bowl. Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to whisk the mixture in quick 'M' and 'W' movements until it is frothy. 

Recommended Storage:

Green tea powder is very sensitive. We recommend pressing out the air from the pack before closing with a grip, then storing the pack in an air-tight container. Store the container in the fridge or freezer. Best consumed within 6 weeks of opening.

Harvest: First Flush, Early April 

Recommended for Usucha and for lovers of a particularly aromatic Koicha.
