The pale green leaves and yellow flowers of the Greek Mountain (Sideritis Scardica) loose tea are rich in essential oils and its blossoms and leaves set free the scent of fresh herbs with a hint of lemon when infused.
Drink this tea hot or cold, sweet or unsweetened, you can be certain that it won’t leave you disappointed. It’s easy to see why Hippocrates was an advocate for this delicious treat!
As always, take a moment to enjoy the aromas of the dried plant before making your cup of tea. The scent of the sweet sage will trick you into believing that you’re in a Mediterranean restaurant.
REGION:
The Rhodope Mountains, northern Greece. The plants are grown at about 1000m altitude in small organic eco-farms. The stems are carefully picked by hand and dried.
HOW TO MAKE GREEK MOUNTAIN TEA ORGANIC HERBAL TEA:
Use 1 heaped tablespoon of loose leaves per cup or a large handful of tea leaves for every litre of water. For hot brew, break apart the leaves and the flowers and put them in a strainer. Then, place the strainer in a cup and pour boiling water over it. Steep for about 6 minutes, your hot cup of Greek mountain tea should be ready. Greek mountain tea makes a delightful iced tea, too! For cold brew leave the loose tea leaves to sit in cold water for 6 hours for a delicious refreshment!
Serve on its own or sweeten it to taste - traditionally it is sweetened with honey. Greek mountain tea has a delicious taste that will keep you coming back for cup after cup!

A very pleasant refreshing drink.
Well packaged, fresh and tasty stems. A tea renowned for its ability to boost cognitive function, and flavoursome too!
The sprigs look beautiful and have a subtle, refreshing taste.
This tea doesn't look like tea, it looks much more interesting. It had a light, enjoyable flavour and I enjoyed brewing and drinking it.
